Year 2 Learning in Action
Thank you all the grown ups that joined Year 2 for Learning in Action on Friday 6th March 2026. We had a fun lesson using our orienteering course to tell the time to the nearest quarter of an hour.
Some of the grown ups comments about the session:
- Enjoyable as it was a practical activity.
- This was an amazing lesson. But the sheer joy within this classroom should absolutely be celebrated!!

- Lovely to see how the children learn and be able to join in activities with them- thank you for letting us join you.
- I loved the fact that it was an outdoor activity this time and more active than just being in the classroom.
- Mr Norman is great with the kids! Very engaging and the kids seem to adore him.
- Such an amazing time to see what Brooklyn is learning at school and had a lot of fun with her finding the times and seeing her getting right.

- Miss Cox is a fantastic teacher. The session was well planned and lots of fun.
- Fun session, good way to learn the time but as cold think children should have been able to put coats on before going outside
- Great fun - was so much fun orienteering with the children, seeing them learn time telling and picking it up as we went round. Thanks Miss Cox!

- It was great to see the children so engaged and nice to get out of the classroom.
- Fantastic way for the children to learn.
- Starting the session with a sit down lesson and then ending the session with an outdoor activity which all the children enjoyed. I was very pleased with how the children were engaged and ready to learn.
